Description:
Lazarus revision 16874, FPC 2.2.2, Mac OS X 10.5.4
Summary
On Mac OS X, if a document is modified, the close widget (the red sphere in the top left corner) of the window should get a dark dot in the center to indicate this fact (why I'd like that: because that's where I automatically look when I want to check that).
In case the window is tabbed (like Lazarus' editor), the dot can either indicate the status of the currently selected tab (because when using File->Close, it will apply to the current tab), or be the "inclusive or" of all modified states. I don't know if there are any HIGs about this, I don't have experience with other tabbed editors on Mac OS X, and both ways have their merits.
Notes
There are already asterisks next to the tab's names to indicate the modified status, but that's not where I tend to look when I want to check whether the current file is modified or not. They can stay as well, of course, since they also provide information about the tabs which are currently not selected.
