Description:
Delphi and Kylix had a "Use as default" checkbox in the bottom
left corner of the Project Options dialog, which when ticked means the
current settings will be used for the next new project - as default
settings.
Lazarus doesn't seem to have such an option, but it would be very handy to have.
A use case where such an option would be handy:
-----------------------------------------------
When I create a new "Free Pascal Project" (a small quick test case app), it always generates the *.rc file, *.manifest, *.ico and includes a resource for the icon etc... I don't want any of that - even though my Linux project compiles without problems. All those settings are irrelevant to Linux anyway. I have to constantly go into the Project Options and untick those options and then afterwards manually delete the leftover *.rc, *.manifest, *.ico and *.res files.
Being able to tell Lazarus what custom project options I would like for any newly created project would be very nice.
