Description:
I have installed Lazarus on several Win98 PCs (in a school computer pool and also at home). A simple "Hello World" text-mode program does not work:
program ...
...
begin
writeln('Hello world');
readln;
end.
The compiler works perfect; the text window appears but the program does not write anything on the screen. The program does not react on pressing the enter key - it seems the program hangs up. The error is reproducable.
Steps to reproduce:
The error can be reproduced by creating a new Lazarus Text Mode-Application, filling in the two mentioned lines above and pressing F9.
Additional information:
The installations I have tested were German Windows versions in German language. But I cannot imagine, that this can have any impact.
