Description:
The last stable Lazarus version (0.9.30.2) cannot be installed on the Ubuntu 10.04 "Lucid" because it depends on the libgdk package which does not exist in that Ubuntu version and on the libgtk2 package newer than available on that system.
This Lazarus version compiles and works fine from the source on that system with no problems. Since the Ubuntu version in question is a LTS edition, it would be nice for the official debs to be installable though.
Additional information:
lazarus-ide-0.9.30.2:
Depends: libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 (>=2.22.0) but it is not installable
Depends: libgtk2.0-0 (>=2.24.0) but 2.20.1-0ubuntu2 is to be installed
