Description:
If I set the target file name to 'Windows_Owner' then I wind up with Windows_Owner.exe. However, if I set the file name to 'Windows.Owner' then the resulting file name is 'Windows.Owner' (no .exe suffix).
Steps to reproduce:
- Start Lazarus
- Click "File" --> "New"
- Double-Click "Application"
- Click "Project" --> "Project Options..."
- Modify target file name from "project1" to "project.1"
5b. Make sure "Apply conventions" is checked
- Click [Ok]
- Press Ctrl+F9
- Press Windows + R
- Type '%temp%' and press enter
- notice the resulting 14MB+ 'Project.1' file
