Description:
For quite a few trunk revisions, possibly going back as far as September 2013, when attempting to run Lazarus built from sources on OS X 10.9 the following occurs:
The IDE opens and immediately stops responding when the source editor window begins to display. The component pallet window is show, but the source editor window is not presented in its entirety. It displays the window chrome with the title "Source Editor" at the top, and paneled status area at the bottom, and no other content. the rest is gray.
When this occurs Lazarus stops responding and the system displays a busy "beach ball" cursor whenever the mouse is positioned over any Lazarus window. The only action the user can then take is to kill the Lazarus task.
When run from a terminal the last line displayed before Lazarus hangs is:
NOTE: help options config file not found - using defaults
OS X version is 10.9 (Mavericks)
FPC version is 2.7.1 trunk
