Description:
If you change the caption the font won't automatically resize to fill the available space.
OptimalFill is only taken into consideration when manually resizing the label.
Steps to reproduce:
Run the attached program.
Click the "Change Caption" button to toggle the caption betweeen "0" and "999999999", see that the font size doesn't adapt to the new caption.
If after "Change Caption" you click on "Resize" (which will momentarily change the width of the label) the font size is modified.
Additional information:
I tested it under windows, I know that it doesn't work under linux/gtk2 but I couldn't test if the resizing trick works there.
