Description:
Hello all,
I am not sure whether this is a Lazarus bug, or a GLScene bug, but it is specific to Lazarus Linux x86-64 and appears to be a recent regression, so I will post this here. Please tell me if there is a more appropriate way to post GLScene bug reports.
I have just upgraded to svn 2340. On Redhat Linux x86-64 GLScene no longer
draws any text. I can specify the fond in the IDE, but there is no visible
change when using WindowsBitmapFont.TextOut(rci, x, y, 'Hello', color);
An excellent example of this problem is the /Demos/bench/canvas example,
where the program can draw multicolored lines, ellipses, points, but there
the "20k TextOut" has no effect. This appears to be a regression, as these
functions used to work (e.g. programs I previously compiled still show
text). Also, this appears specific to x86-64, as do not see this problem
with the same SVN on an Ubuntu 32-bit installation.
I had the same problem with FPC 2.4.0 and FPC 2.2.4 compilations of Lazarus
FPC 2.2.4, Lazarus 0.9.29 svn 23335
FPC 2.4.0, Lazarus 0.9.29 svn 23429
I am using the default GTK2 widgetset.
Any solutions appreciated.
