Description:
It seems to be not possible to set a Menu text with a tab character which should divide the explaning text ("Save") and the hint for the keyboard input ("F2"). The text "save" should be aligned left, and "F2" aligned right. There should be a big space between if other menu entries need more space.
The formatting mechanism works if Menuitem.Shortcut is used. It should be possible to type the keyboard commands by hand, e.g. for Wordstar (Delphi classic) commands like ^K^B.
The tab formatting fails on all OS.
In Windows, the & character underlines one character which is the letter for keyboard input. & has no effect on other OS. (The IDE has also no & functionality. Is this not possible in Linux?)
Additional information:
The sample shows a menu with short and long menu entries and a (not acceptable dirty hack) method in Windows to create the correct output.
Then there's a menu entry with german umlauts which seems to be fixed now a few days ago.
I've tested the code on Win32, Ubuntu Linux and MacosX.
I hope the functionality is technically possible on all OS.
