When I install LAZARUS with my native language (german)
I get the message above.

Now I switched to ENGLISH and I get a totally different
Error Message: "Class conflicts with .lfm file"

Please see attached screeshots.

Cheers,
Peter
Additional InformationI made the test based on the 0.9.29. 24607 (as offered on toolbox CD)
But error message was the same as with 0.9.28.2 (last official release)

I followed the advise in the english error message
and separated the Forms into one file for each.

By copying Lazarus also created .LFM files.
but these three files now had all the same
component name in the .lfm file, let's say

object MyFirstForm : TMyFirstForm
...
(and the basic error message was the same as before ..)

I then manually edited all three LFM files, let's say

object MyFirstForm : TMyFirstForm
...

object MyCustomForm1 : TMyCustomForm1
...

object MyCustomForm2 : TMyCustomForm2
...

and now LAZARUS does no more complain about
"Class conflicts with .lfm file"

;-)

Would be nice if the german (and probably other languages)
would also see the text as shown in the "english Lazarus version" dialog.

Cheers,
Peter

Please also do a test with some daily snapshot - then you will see whether it is already fixed.

.. and what if it eats my disk ?

If it eats your disk: Though luck.

If you don't want to run that risk, you have several options:
* ask if somebody else already has taken the risk with the particular snapshot you want to use and what their experiences were. But then, still, you may run a risk.
* wait for a next Lazarus release, which may or may not contain a fix. If it contains the fix, you are happy, if it doesn't you may have to wait a bit longer for yet another release.
* run the snapshot in a virtual machine (that has a backup), where it can only eat the hard disk virtually.

This was a typo in German translation.

Please test with revision 28159 or later and close if ok.
