The 'provides' option of a package seems to be ignored

Description:
In the package options, there is a 'provides' tab, in which you can add packages-names which are 'provided' by this package.
But if I have another package which depends on a name which is included in the 'provides' sectio nof an installed package, the IDE will not recognize it, and it says the package is not installed.
