Description:
If the Locate (and LocateNext) methods are used in an SQLite database with the sqlite3 package they will not find records if they reference a Date or TimeDate field. The methods function perfectly if the field type is string or integer. (I have not checked any other types.)
This failure happens reproducibly on my Lubuntu 10.04 Lazarus 0.9.30-0 set up, and I have written a short application which demonstrates both the expected behaviours and the failures. This may be found as the code section in my post under the user name aslearner to the Databases forum on Oct. 21. This is also uploaded below, together with a zipped data file that may be needed. The application also shows a way to work round this failure.
Thanks for any action,
Andrew Smith
