Since many users have code page OEM850, not OEM437 (USA), because it's more "multilingual", you should remove all pseudo graphic symbols, which are in 437 but not in 850, from the IDE logo. Otherwise the first impression, even for users who know what text mode IDE means, is that something is wrong.

There should be a clear, noticeable hint on how the user can change the main window size, and this option should be available in "Windows" menu. I tried to change setting of the link or settings of the dos box without success, before I found "Options/Environment/Preferences".

On one PC I can set width to more than 80 chars, but on my other PC I can only select more lines (or 40 chars width - which seems to be completely useless). Obviously the IDE uses some wrong limits (my screen resolution is 1920x1200 on first, and 1280x1024 on second monitor) - how can I force the IDE to allow more than 80 chars?
