Description:
I use xrandr to spread the desktop across the internal 1280x800 display of my laptop and an external 1920x1080 monitor to my laptop. The top edges of the monitors align.
Lazarus windows on the external monitor positioned so that their lower edge is below the level of the bottom of the internal display often change their position unexpectedly, jumping up so that the lower edge is aligned with the bottom of the internal display. This renders the bottom quarter or so of the external monitor unuable for Lazarus windows.
Steps to reproduce:
* run Lazarus on a dual-monitor setup as described
* drag to source editor window onto the larger of the two monitors
* enlarge the window so its lower edge lies below the height of the smaller monitor
* open two or more tabs in the source editor
* scroll-wheel over the tabs
The window will jump upwards to align its lower edge with the lower edge of the smaller monitor
I've also definitely seen the messages window behave similarly when clicked on, and I'm think I've seen other windows exhibit the same behaviour.
Additional information:
This occurs in both the current fixes_1_2 branch and trunk.
