Description:
When building a program that requires an external .o file, and it does not exist (in the search path) the linker gives a warning and the IDE hangs.
Message: 'Warning: Object &LtPos;name>.o not found, Linking may fail!'
And &LtPos;name> is the name of the missing .o file.
This was noticed when trying to build a Lazarus demo program of the zenGL library.
It comes with a couple of pre-compiled files that for some demos are required (e.g. demo03: input).
Steps to reproduce:
- Install Lazarus 1.2RC2
- Download and unzip the latest version of zenGL (http://zengl.org/download.html).
- Load demo03 from the Lazarus demos (&LtPos;sp>\zengl-direct3d-0.3.12\demos\Lazarus\033 Input).
- Add the source folders to the search path, but leave out the lib folders.
- Press F9 -> compiling works but during linking this will make the IDE hang.
Additional information:
This also happens with olders versions (1.0, 1.1).
