Summary0026067: windows installer problem
DescriptionTwo problems :
-When Lazarus is installed from a user without administrator privilege.
When the installer tries to write a qt file in the directory windows/system32 the installation fails. It should ask the administrator password to be able to write the files in this directory.

*Edit: this part of the report is being tracked separately at issue 9950*
-If the location of the installed directory is changed from the default "\lazarus" to "\Program files\lazarus" the installation fails. It seems it has a problem to handle the space between Program and files.

Edit: installer warns you about folders with spaces which is expected behaviour: not all of the (ancient) binutils bundled with FPC/Lazarus do not support paths with spaces.

I wonder, that there is no problem installing to C:\lazarus without admin priv, at least the report only says C:\windows for qt dll.

Currently unable to test this myself.

Also: Changing this will mean the installer will *always* ask, even if not needed. (see inno setup docs http://www.jrsoftware.org/ishelp/index.php?topic=setup_privilegesrequired )
Which apparently (if I read the doc correct) on earlier versions of windows will be a real pain, as users must logout, and login as admin. Users that do not have the admin access to a pc will then be unable to install?

Depending on if and when I find a way to test and confirm all this, and depending on the outcome of this, the current situation may be preferable.

Suggest splitting up this report as it concerns 2 separate issues. Suggest tracking space in path issue in 9950. Editing report summary for clarity.

current versions of inno setup ask for admin rights. so this should be resolved.
