Section 11.2.1, page 128 of the Free Pascal Programmer's Reference manual mentions -Og as the switch to use to optimize for size.
The compiler, when seeing that switch, warns that -Os should be used instead.
The documentation should probably be updated to mention -Os instead of -Og.
Steps to reproduce:
compile something while specifying -Og in the command line. The compiler will issue the following warning:
Warning: You are using the obsolete switch -Og, please use -Os
