Description:
When starting Lazarus with an empty configuration the compiler path is set to fpc.exe and thus might need to be changed. Removing the path and manually entering it leads to a error dialog (see attached screenshot) to appear with each key stroke as long as the path does not point to a valid compiler binary.
Steps to reproduce:
- start Lazarus with a --pcp set to a non existing directory
- switch to Compiler tab
- delete entered path (error dialog will already pop up here)
- start entering a path (e.g. c:)
- an error dialog will appear with each keystroke
Expected behavior: the memo at the bottom will complain that the path does not point to a valid compiler, but no error dialog appears.
