Description:
I use ibus to write unicode characters in applications. Every other GTK apps work just fine, but when I try to write in Lazarus code editor, or in a TEdit in a compiled executable, layout isn't changed. Typing in that case only inputs English chars.
Tried:
- Lazarus code editor
- Double commander text editor
- CudaText
Same result.
Steps to reproduce:
- Have ibus setup with at least one non-English unicode/utf-8 language and ibus-daemon running (e.g. ibus-daemon -xdr)
- Open Lazarus
- Open the source code editor in Lazarus
- Press the keyboard shortcut setup in ibus-setup
- Type something
Result: Inputs English
Expected: Input the non-English language characters
