I thought the summertime system will be gone after this year in Europe. At least I hope it will. Is it still used somewhere in future?
OK, I didn't know the summertime is going to be canceled.
But anyway, you may fly to a different timezone and then you have the same problem. Wait... Corona - no flying either :)
According to Wikipedia ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daylight_saving_time ) there are still enough regions out there that use Daylight Saving Time, so yes, that's still needed in the future.
And right now I'm not sure whether the EU will really manage to get rid of DST... And as of now nothing fix is decided there anyway! (look at near the end of the section "Permanent daylight saving time" of the linked Wikipedia article)
