Summary | 0000512: Lazarus crashes when write-permissions are missing (Linux)
Description | I installed the Lazarus-RPM-package under Suse 9.2. Under /usr/share/examples there are a lot of examples. But I can't compile them because the directories have not write-permissions for normal user: drwxr-xr-x 14 root root 4096 2004-12-22 14:06 examples Opening an example, pressing F9 results in crashing the whole Lazarus-environment. Given the directories write-permisson - everything works fine (I mentioned the same behavior when a Lazarus-project is copied to a VFAT-partition under Linux: Wrong file-permissions - Lazarus crashes complete).

By mattias: 1) Of course not. It would be a security hole. You have to copy the example to your user directory or install lazarus in your home directory (tgz or cvs, not rpm). 2) Fixed. |
