Description:
This one was reported by one of my users (I still need to check if it happens on all Linux machines):
Using a software witch did not thread exceptions and at one point loaded a bitmap witch was not present, the standard error dialog from LCL showed.
Steps to reproduce:
1 - cd /usr/share/magnifier
2 - mv bottom.bmp foo
3 - start the magnifier. It will complain about not
finding bottom.bmp in a dialog. Alright. Take a look at
the dialog text.
4 - place the mouse over the OK or the Cancel button.
Text will get uglier. (Changing focus with Tab will
also do it. Hold tab for maximum ugliness! )
If you change to other window, and then change back to
the magnifier dialog, font will be normal again on
parts covered by the other window, (and will continue
ugly on parts that were visible) . Hold Tab and it
will get ugly again.
Using GTK 2.6.10, XOrg 6.8.2, Gentoo Linux 2005.1
About sources to reproduce, on the new version of magnifier (3.1.1) I treat the exception and avoid showing the standard message box. You can see it using the 3.1 source available here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/magnifier
He says it may be a distribution specific error .... like a missing font I don't know.
