Description:
In delphi mode you can't just have array of type like you can in the latest incarnation of delphi. You also can't use the pointer extention as a workaround in delphi mode, which forces me to make many more changes to code to make it work in fpc mode.
This is coming up in my attempts to use the jedi-sdl units for graphics. A little re-coding isn't hard, but now that I've seen array of type work without a range, I think I like those semantics. Could probably be done with minimal changes to the fpc engine, since the basic capibility is already there with using pointers as arrays. Likewise, extending Setlength shouldn't be too hard, along with cleanup (just a freemem) Would recomend if implemented, that it be implemented in Delphi and FPC mode, since this is a feature of convience.
