Description:
This is an addition to bug number 3066 (original text: see below).
Today I tried with 1.9.6 again.
Unfortunately it produced the same page-faults, once you start to debug or even change to the "GDB-Window".
I then tried to start GDBPAS.EXE on the commandline, which started without problems.
The only new information I can give is, that when I try the same in a Windows-XP Commandline, the IDE gives a popup-message "Program generated a signal 290. ..." and after another popup "...internal IDE error..." the IDE exits to DOS.
I hope that someone can find it now.
Any help is welcome !
If you need more specific information, please tell
me and I'll do what I can!

Bug 3066:
I cannot start the debugger via the DOS-IDE.
Everytime I try, I get a "Page Fault" and the IDE exits to DOS.
I tried the following: Tested with many combinations of compiler switches, tested with CWSDPMI or EMM386 from W98B. Tested running under W98B-DOS and W98B-Command-Prompt. And finally I tried with a Caldera DR-DOS 7.02 today.
The error occurs even with a "Hello-World" Program or a program that just does "a:=3" or so.
This problem I have with 1.9.2, 1.9.3, and the newest binary snapshot as of 24.04.2004.
I have to mention that I didn't have this problems with 1.0.10, which compiles and debugs all the programs without problems.
I am able to compile and run the programs with 1.9.x, but never to debug any program, so I never
had the possibility to use the new FreePascal versions.
